Asshole couldn't have been too bad off, he owned an airplane. I don't own an airplane, do any of you?

We know he owned but not what he owed. That's not a expensive plane. Also, the helicopter pilot I sometimes hire is a *plumber* in his day job yet owns a helicopter (though I pay for a larger one he rents from someone else rather than his smaller 2-seater).

What's more expensive is that he had hanger space, fully paid-up, all his maintenance was up-to-date as well as his certifications and testing, etc. And that plane probably eats $100 in fuel every time he flies. Given where he lived he had a reasonably nice house ($230K goes a long way here, 2,000 sq.ft., 4-bedroom, 2-bath, 2-car garage, I bet)

The F-16s that were sent took off from Ellington Field. By coincidence I went to high school and lived about five miles east of it many years ago. It's a small airstrip about 30 miles southeast of Houston used by NASA. It's a 200 mile drive from there to the building that was hit, perhaps 15 minutes for an F-16 at max cruise. There's no way those F-16s could have done any good coming so late.
