He sounds like a guy that got pissed because he got caught too many times. He does have a point about taxing churches though, for a group of non taxpayers, they sure manage to try to influence what money, policies, and laws are going on in government circles.
Since the government will never learn to control their spending, I think they should look at taxing all religious sects. Just imagine if the Catholic church had to pay taxes on the land they own and the "donations" they get. The fact that they let the Scientoligists claim religious status, now they are buying up property like crazy in Florida, hence they lose the property tax as well as losing the possibility to get taxes on the millions of dollars that are given to them by the Travoltas & Kirstie Alleys of their church.
I don't care who the fuck it is, if you live (own property) in the US, you should have to pay your fair share (taxwise, at least). Just because I don't worship some imaginary deity doesn't mean I shouldn't have to pay anything. All the money that comes out of the tax-base for churches, is made up by folks like me & you.
Also if you add in all the tax breaks corporations get, I would actually go out on a limb and say I agree with this crackpot. He was just a normal guy that tried to take advantage of what he considered "loopholes" and got busted.
