From what I've read, it sounds like he was just a tax cheat who was pissed off at the government and felt that corporations are the ones who should be paying all the taxes. From my experience, liberals love taxes. As long as they don't have the be the ones paying them. One of my sister's liberal buddies expatriated to Costa Rica because he "couldn't stand the direction the fucking country is headed to under George Bush!" It turns out, he really moved away because he owed $25,000 in taxes and just didn't feel like paying it.
