Seriously though, you should check out electric period Miles Davis, Tribute to Jack Johnson is my favourite record of his from that period but the Live at the Cellar box set is pretty great too, but major $$$, but I guess you can probably just download all this shit for free nowadays. Miles is long dead anyway right?
Also check out Love Supreme by John Coltrane, one of the greatest records in jazz but also very riff oriented and accessible.
