Y'all will still owe hundreds of billions after we deduct what we owe you from our invoice for 40 years of food stamps, welfare, affirmative action and free school lunches.
C'mon now, Coke. You know anyone can get food stamps, welfare, and free lunch. Not just black people. The point of reparations are to focus the benefit exclusively on African Americans.
Also, affirmative action only creates new opportunities -- it does not guarantee employment.
So all those handouts mean nothing? Even if reparation payments were made, it would NEVER be enough to stop the demands and complaining for shit that happened to people who've been dead for over 100 years. And in another hundred years, you know blacks will still be saying the same shit and blaming their conditions on "the legacy of slavery".
Did you know that slavery has existed on every continent and affected every race of people through history going back to pre-biblcal times? For example, virtually every white European has ancestors who lived under serfdom. This includes royalty (not every one of their ancestors were landed aristocrats). Do I expect a handout from Prince Charles because my ancestors lived under the feudal system in England hundreds of years ago? Paaaaa-lease. The United States is different from all other nations and civilizations in one respect: we actually went to war with ourselves to end slavery at a great price. Two of my own great-great-grandfathers fought in the Civil War for the Union (50th Wisconsin Infantry and 8th Iowa Infantry). One walked with a limp from an injury until he died in his 90s. I owe you nothing.
I'll leave you with a final thought you might find hard to accept. If Westerners had left sub-Saharan Africa in isolation for the past 400 years, the people would still be living at Stone Age/prehistoric levels of civilization. They would all be running around naked with spears, banging on drums and mumbling "unga bunga" (as many still are to this very day). You and others of African lineage would know nothing of universities, hospitals, science or (ironically) the concept of human rights. Your life expectancy would be under 30. Your teeth would all be rotted out by the time you were 20. Some of you would be slaves to other Stone Age level tribes. I could go on.
The ones who were taken out of Africa and their decendants were the lucky ones. Welcome to civilization! Welcome to the luxuries and comforts of modern times! Now how about admitting how fortunate you are to have been born in the USA?
