I'm not sure how "notorious" he was before yesterday. And he's probably being called "slick tom" because the name "slick tom" (I think it was actually "Tom Slick") was printed on the front of his now notorious blue shirt. The one that said "I AM A MOTHERFUCKER" on the back of it. Now people are calling him, "Epic Beard Man."

As for being thrown out of a balpark for making racist remarks, the article I read said he was thrown out for sneaking booze into the game. If that's even him. The article listed the man as being 62 years old when the ballpark incident occurred last August. The man from the bus video clearly says his age is 67.
