If y'all would read my original response, you'll see that I never defend the guy's actions. He was rightfully put in his place.

What I took issue with was Conq.'s use of the "N" word. I only lashed out because I was so surprised HE said it when he knew I might read the thread.

The word "nigger", when spoken by a non-black, has a poisonous, razor-sharp connotation. I don't question why other ethnic groups may find certain gestures or words offensive. I take their word for it and respect the boundaries. I am not one of them, so I can't really "GET" certain things. I take them at their word.

Why can you not take me at my word for the "N"-word issue?
