I hate the StupidBowl and hate all sports 
To avoid any possible football exposure, I went to Newsroom and had an acai berry granola cereal, chilled at the magazine stand, went to a museum, then continued yesterday's event of clearing out my closet. A Chanel dress, size zero. Unworn. Evidently, I was a spendthrift AND delusional.
And I watched Baise-Moi, 2 episodes of Big Love, then Glitter.

Yup, GSP. Something he was purported to have said a few months after the war. He always viewed Russia/USSR as the future enemy.
But, he also tailored statements to his audience/circumstance.

The trumpet trills in that movie are instantly recognizable. I just googled "trumpet fanfare patton" and found a song, but it doesn't contain the bit I remember so well.

Eureka, Fatman you have found it! This derail caused me to re-read a lot of Patton quotes.
It's the opening notes that cement that entire movie for me. I love that, as powerful as George C. Scott's performance was, esp. in regards to "the speech", it had to be censored.
