So... backstory is required here I guess.
I've been trying to cook more this year. I picked up a copy of Jamie Oliver's food revolution just before the end of last year and it's a really good cookbook. About ten recipes tried so far and they are all generally really good.
One of the recipes is a Guinness stew with beef. I've done it before and it's nice. I decided to make some today and went down to the liquor store for some Guinness. While I was there, I stumbled over something utterly beautiful.
Young's Double Chocolate Stout. It came in a 500 ml bottle at about $3.95 Canadian a crack. I figured I'd try it and see if I could try this in some recipes too.
You'd have to be an idiot to use this in recipes. That would require you to NOT drink it. I could drink this for breakfast. You can actually taste the chocolate in this beer and it works. It works beautifully!
I completely recommend this tasty, tasty beverage. If you see it, grab it.
