Here's a thought.

Knock ten percent off your military budget.

Use it to fund universal health care in the US.

That's the thing, you don't have to raise any money to get universal health care. The Healthy Americas Act not only lowers the amount of money the govt spends on health care, but it also lowers the amount of money the entire country spends on health care. It does impose a new tax on business, where based on their number of employees and amount of revenue, they have to pay some percentage of an average health care policy. But, since the plan lowers what the country spends on health care, that tax is much less than what they would be paying in the future as our current system has spiraling health care costs. Send every kid to school and rebuild your education system.

They tried solving that with money. Bush's whole No Child Left Behind thing. One of the very few big things in his whole presidency he got wide bipartisan support. I forget the exact stat, but it was one of the biggest spending programs the govt had ever implemented. Everybody hates the program. Obama has modified it now, we'll see, but I'm personally not hopeful. Just because you've thrown money at an issue doesn't mean you've solved it.

So when I hear conservatives complain about deficits for the first time in 8 years, and I know they would have essentially done the same thing, you kind of have to ignore it.

It's so odd that many Democrats arguments these days is, "yeah, we suck, but in the hypothectically situation I've defined, any Republican would suck just as much.." Why can't you guys look at yourselves on your own merits instead of finding excuses?

Palin never talks about issues, she just leads pep rallies. "We win, they lose." That's in depth policy discussion, there. And you fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.

Meh, more Democrats excusing their actions because they think everyone is as stupid as they.

I never defended Palin. I wish she'd go back to Alaska and get more experience. Run for the Senate or something. At least get a hair-cut so you don't look like a flirtatious secretary while talking about holding offices that should be held by senior statesmen.
