I am too drunk now to find it right now, but a while ago I posted on here that I heard from an old girlfriend sort of "out of the blue" in an e-mail in which she gave me her new address.
This girl was every embarrassing head-over-heels, puppy love, schoolboy crush fantasy I ever had who broke up with me and broke my heart.
Ever read the book "The Godfather"? Not the movie, the book. It talks about "the thunderbolt". I was walking to the cafeteria one day in college surrounded by a crowd of other college students when I saw this girl ahead of me. I'll remember this day forever. I was struck by "The Thunderbolt" that day when I saw her walking ahead of me. A couple of years later I was shocked to meet her again. She was engaged and I was in a relationship. I dumped my girlfriend and pursued this chick with an energy I have never had before or since. We dated for several years before she broke up with me after I moved to another state to continue my education.
Now she found me online and it appears (but I do not know for sure) that she has separated from her husband (who she dumped me to date) and is now single again, and we have been trading e-mails for the last few days.
OK, you perverts, that is the background.
Would you pursue a woman who once dumped you but for whom you still carried a torch, or would you just move on?
