Saints and the over. Americasline.com has it as 4.5 and 56.5. I'm only going to put $$ on the over though. I've got 7 and 7 in a $100/block pool, that's what I'm really rooting for. 37-27 Come On!!! Shit, I'd be happy 7-7 after the first quarter and pick up a grand.

IMO, without Freeney I say it's damn near pick 'em. However, I'll take Colts experience and Manning's excellence over a first time SB contending Saints. Should be a good game!

Nah, I keep it local.
No doubt the Colts are a real good team, and Peyton is the best player in football. I just think the Saints are a complete team, that went through tougher competition. Colts can't run the ball, so it all boils down to the Saints pass rush and secondary.
I heard on the radio the other day that the Saints defensive coordinator is going to hold back some during the first half to keep Peyton from making half time adjustments. Sounds like a decent plan if Brees can keep the score close.

I haven't much insight in this NFL thing, even though I managed to reach the play-offs in the XPT-fantasy football league.
I don't care too much who actually wins this edition. As long as it is an interesting game to watch, I'm happy.
Edit to add:
Why does a team decide to kick the ball, instead of running/passing, when it's 4th & 1 or 2? I noticed the Colts doing this and I don't quite understand.

Because when they punt the other team usually gets the ball about 40 to 45 yards further away from the punting team's goal line compared to getting the ball at the spot on a play if the team does not pick up the first down.
It ended up working out the same but I would have kicked the field goal if I was coaching the Saints on that 4th down and goal. Had it been 4th and a couple of feet or so I would have gone for it but the third down play lost at least a yard on that play and the Colts defense is much faster than I thought they were. The Saints would have been better off having the ball back on the ten or twenty yard line where the Colts have to cover much more of the field on the defense leaving more seams to get the ball to a receiver in. Down on the goal line the Colts don't have to cover very much of the field, just the end zone, and they can stack things up and not give the Saints any room to separate from the defense.

When it was 4th & 1 for the Saints, my first thought was: "Okay, that's a TD". Then these commentators started to blab about field goals and what not. It was a gutsy call, according to the BBC commentator-squad.

A quick rules debriefer for you Free. On a kickoff the ball is live as soon as it travels 10 yards, either team can recover it. If the ball has not gone 10 yards only the receiving team can recover it but if it is not handled cleanly it becomes live as soon as a member of the receiving team touches it.

I must have eaten something bad at the half time buffet last night. I threw up every couple hours all night, I think about 4 times. I'm still shivering and scared to eat.

Bar down the street had a free buffet at half time. Wings, sausage and peppers, ribs, meatballs. Also had some chicken fingers earlier. I just had a PB&J, my first food since. Fever/chills are gone.

Correct. An onside kick is usually reserved for the final minutes of a game or when the kicking teams defense has shown true dominance over the receiving teams offense. It's a high risk, low percentage play. The clarification a couple posts up about the ten yard rule is correct- the ball isn't live until it's travelled 10 yds OR is touched within that 10 yd distance by the receiving team. In other words, had the ball only gone 5 yds, it could have laid on the field for 5 minutes, until someone covered it. Had the kicking team covered it- still Colts ball.

In Peter King's column on SI.com, he says the Saints head coach noticed on film that the Colts two guys furthest up the field would turn and run back early to set up their blocking, so he knew he was going to do the onside sometime in the game. He told the kick off guy about it like 5 minutes into the halftime break, and the guy was terrified of fucking up for about 40 minutes.

Wasn't reading AWOP last week. Would have picked Colts. But, I'm happy for the city of New Orleans. I've been a fan of "The Who" since the early '70s. I saw them very very close at the beginning of their first farewell concert in 1982 at JFK stadium in Philly. [Santana was GREAT, The Clash SUCKED ASS!] Their performance during halftime reminded me of this young girl 15/16 who had passed out and her older sister's boyfriend was kicking her in head to wake her up. Thankfully security finally noticed and took her away. No such luck with my Who last Sunday.
