The board changes over time. Some of those changes are improvements. Many are not. People were crying for the good ole days of XPT when I got here in April 2006. I miss Windsock inanity. I miss Conky's friendship even more than his EXCELLENT posts [I liked the "How to be a Suitcase Pimp" even more than his classic "Camera of Death"]. Same with Jamesn & Gigi. I miss people no one likely noticed or remembers. On the whores that have come and gone, Gen's my scarecrow. I miss her most of all.  And, Darrah, each person is allowed their own opinions. While I fanboi for, say, Mia Rose, I have a right to irritate my least favorite dog-eater, for example. This isn't a site to "interact" with the talent. That would be ADT. There are plenty of people reading XPT just not a whole lot posting. If you look at the bottom of the index page it shows how many registered and anonymous users are browsing XPT at any given moment. Depending on the time of day there are usually between 10 and 40 people reading XPT.

Now I probably have close to every movie scene she's done. When I got here Hailey Young was promoting like crazy and was very popular. Sierra Sinn used to talk about both her porn and her goal of DJing. Certainly each of these girls had their detractors [I recall, for example, that Mia was XPT's choice to die at AVN 2007]. But, it takes wit and a thick skin to survive. That would be awesome if we could convince the whores that GPT or Web Talk is "safe" for them. Then, we could employ straw men to lure them into riskier forums with some kinds of treats or whatever. Attention for a whore probably being the usual lure. But, it's a false hope. There's just no discipline at this place.
That said, watching Tia Ling slash and burn her way through some of you guys is the best things going on XPT right now. Tia flat out owns some of you.
Gia and Fatman are delusional that there's some kind of redeeming qualities about this place that make it good for the whores. It has the same redeeming qualities as a street brawl you get caught up in watching and maybe throw a punch or two. Temporary excursions like the ones Fatman listed are as good as its gonna get. Enjoy Tia while she's here. It won't last long.

They were, of course, strongly encouraged to post pics to support their shilling, but "five-head" comments and the like were verboten. That was back when Padover and Kami were still active.
Speaking of which- anyone heard from Kami lately? I miss that girl. (I've heard from Padover- she will be fine).

Sure this is an uncensored forum but it does have to be moderated, yes?. People need to post shit in the appropriate forum. The forums all have a description. There's maybe 8 of us that can decide what goes where and exactly none of us are doing their job. I know it's fun to pick on JRV but he's the only one to have done his job in like 2 years.
Floof put in for mod.. That's a good start and we should see where it goes from there. Peoples pick and all, yes?.

Actually, Fatman would probably make a decent moderator himself. It would be like giving the troublemaker in class some responsibility. He knows the distinctions between the various fora, but right now he just doesn't give a shit and posts about himself whenever the urge arises. Hereabouts when you really need to take a shit we call that feeling "turtling" and we deliver ourselves to a safe haven posthaste. As far as the people's pick goes, I'm under the impression this site is run in a much more regal manner, where proclamations are an important thing. It's part of what makes this web site a filthy truck stop bathroom where sometimes you find guys sucking each other's cocks in the stalls.
What seems to be Jeff's M.O. is he just picks and chooses people he personally likes more so than what's best for the board. Even if I put the effort in, I'd never be a mod here. JM porn doesn't bother me, but I'm not a fan. It's just not my type of thing. And, I'm not a Democrat either. Aside from the fact that Elab is a mindless Democratric fanboi, he seems like a decent guy. And, on a board that doesn't have many outspoken lefties while the owner is a Democrat, the whole fanboi thing definitely helped him become a mod.
I think Darrah is right about a main factor in Goat becoming a mod was the call into Howard and what that did to charm JM. But, there are certainly other reasons that make him an excellent choice for a mod.
If the whole regal thing weren't such an issue and the "people's pick" held more sway, Bishop would have been made a mod a long time ago. He's charismatic and everyone likes him. It'd instill more trust in the mods. But, that's just not the way it is.
If you care, pushing the "people's pick" isn't a waste of time. If you guys try to woo JM long enough, he'd probably eventually do some kind of compromise. The attention would probably get him off enough that he'd go ahead and do something.
Loyalty seems to be another part of Jeff's M.O.. He'll get sick of a mod and be mean to them, but he will not boot them off. Like, why the fuck is Conky still a mod?

Other than rare occasions where "power" goes to a mod's head and they bully a bit, and that's not a postive trait, I don't really know what a mod does here.
There isn't much policing that goes on.
All I want from a mod on XPT is like what happened when Donkey recently went off.
That said, I don't see me being "mod" material. Bornyo's assessment of me is correct. Plus, I'm an admitted porn pirate. I disappear, often for long periods. And, I'm a fanboi on a non-fanboi site.
The one thing I do like about mods here is that I have "bumped heads" with several, including some I like very much, and none have completely lost control and banned me for my disagreements with them. I believe that is rare on any board.
And, I think Conky is moderator since so many of us hope he'll someday return.
And, YES, Grumman ... you are not a mod because you aren't a Democrat like say, K1ng.

Being a mod on a message board carries very little cachet these days. Just 2 yrs ago it might have meant something but no more. Twitter facebook et al are making everyone feel self important and somehow outside the "rules".
I don't think what's happening here has much to do with JM as a person at all.

JM isn't a computer program. It's not as easy as talking shit about Obama's health care reform that made the main problem with health care, costs, worse. It's more complex than that. These posts that are entirely too long is probably the most I have.
And, it's entirely possible JM would read this and if he even bothers to think twice, scoff at it, and do something just the opposite to make me look stupid. But, I don't really care.

And, now that I've opened my mouth and tried to look like I'm spouting wise, please humor me and let me explain one more thing I believe I was remiss about. I don't think Goat woke up one morning and said, "hey, I wanna lick JM's asshole today! I'll call Howard". Sucking up is just the critical way to put it. The sympathetic way is to explain that there are just commonalities between Goat and JM's personalities that JM appreciates. Much like the little fragments of info I find about JM here and there, I don't think there are enough commonalities for me to ever be a mod. Nor do I put the effort into the board, so I wouldn't even support myself.
If people want to make the board more whore-friendly, I support what Lou and somebody else said about disciplining certain forums so there aren't people doing everything they can to make you look foolish to be bothered with. I suspect more than just the whores would enjoy it. Probably change the name of General to make the shift more obvious. There will be times when mopez gets bored and heads up there to cause trouble, but that could be addressed by warnings, and when it gets bad, temporary bannings. That would let people know they are welcome here without having to defend themselves.

She was quite active and popular, rolled well with the punches, was made a mod and DISAPPEARED from XPT.

There are always going to be exceptions. It's a long history. America is proud of its capitalism, teaching it to kids and school as what makes us great. Often? I've never seen often. I imagine any example has been deleted. His final banning was for posting pics of retards having sex. And, that posting attributed the retards to being JM Production stars. My guess was the retards was bad enough, the JM reference pushed it over the top making it permanent.
They had plenty of opportunities to complain publicly about illegal shit he was posting, they chose not to. Goes back to my whole interpretation that what the board thinks isn't terribly important in decision making here. Plenty of random people come here and contribute significantly to the board. If I were running it, I'd show more deference to these people. You'd get shit and people would bitch about it, but so what? Just ignoring everybody when they ask is disrespectful.

It is true that Bishop & I have had our issues. But, we had a very public "handshake" and I put aside my misgivings - which mostly had to do with attacks, perceived or otherwise, from back in 2006-7. To Bishop's credit, he was able to put his issues away long before I did.
But, that isn't uncommon here. Feelings about people change over time. Some for the better, some for the worse.
I used to severely irritate quite a few people that I get along rather well with now. Gia, Bornyo, Elab, you name it.

i will accept my share of the blame, if people feel the need to blame...at some point, namely March 2006, I ceased being funny and introspective and gave in to weakness; I started cyberfucking around with porn whores in between actually hanging with them in real life (or them hanging with me), and insisted on sharing my own life's debauched details in an obnoxiously arrogant, superior, narcissitic manner. Some people liked that, more did not...but I didnt give a fuck. The way I saw it, this place stopped being worthy of my best efforts and writing, especially when people bitched I was talking over their heads or talking too much. So now I just offer crap about jerking off into hott chicks' mouths in the most economically creative manner... I spent too much time trying to favorably impress certain porn whores, mainly because during that period (2005-2006) I was in transition, relocating, re-relocating, buying, selling and traveling from California-to-New england-back to California-and many parts in between; this became hectic and chaotic from a sexual standpoint and because I was never in one place for very long I didnt have a nice coven of dependable escorts I could just call and in 60 minutes be ejaculating onto their tonsils...high class working girls want a man who is around and available and not calling at weird inconsistent intervals. SEE! I am doing it now...it is narcissitic of me to think I caused XPT to tank and stank ....

That would be awesome if we could convince the whores that GPT or Web Talk is "safe" for them. Then, we could employ straw men to lure them into riskier forums with some kinds of treats or whatever. That said, watching Tia Ling slash and burn her way through some of you guys is the best things going on XPT right now. Tia flat out owns some of you.
Gia and Fatman are delusional that there's some kind of redeeming qualities about this place that make it good for the whores.
