Not sure how I feel about this, google has too much power as it is, but somebody's got to stop the Chinese and Ruskie code raiders. On other fronts as well, like getting deeper into our electrical grid, basic utilities and cyber infrastructure.



Google to enlist NSA to help it ward off cyberattacks

The world's largest Internet search company and the world's most powerful electronic surveillance organization are teaming up in the name of cybersecurity.

Under an agreement that is still being finalized, the National Security Agency would help Google analyze a major corporate espionage attack that the firm said originated in China and targeted its computer networks, according to cybersecurity experts familiar with the matter. The objective is to better defend Google -- and its users -- from future attack.

Just so long as Google is paying the NSA, I've got no problem with this. If the police were helping some bank develop protection from thieves who could rob the place and were paying the police, would that be a problem?

Even if they weren't paying, investigating and helping to prevent crime seems within their mandate.
