- Make sure you have a clear pic. Lots of black girls with dyed hair advertise themselves as blondes. I fell into this trap once as a young hobbyist.

- A lot of ads with professional pics that seem too good to be true and only list an e-mail address are scams. An e-mail reply will try to get you to sign up for a dating/escort website. A good way to check is to google keywords or phrases from the ad and see if it's listed in more than one market at the same time.
