I'm 6'0. A woman's height doesn't matter, as long as she's hot. Not so with men. Men don't really respect short guys as equals. On a subconscious level, you always know they're weak. Likewise, how many attractive women would settle for a shorty? Never happens unless the dude is rich, and in that case it's a fake relationship.

If I saw a mini-me roll into club dressed like wittle Alex and trying to pose himself as ubercool, I'm sure I'd laugh at him. Especially if I've got a few drinks in me.
