American concert pianist Earl Wild dies at 94


Grammy award-winning US pianist Earl Wild has died at the age of 94.

The musician was the first pianist to give a solo recital on US television, during an NBC broadcast in 1937.

He died of congestive heart disease at his home in Palm Springs, California, on Saturday, his publicist Mary Lou Falcone said.
