Given how unstable Janine has LONG been, I suspect Jesse thought she might have gotten pregnant either 1) by one of her tricks or 2) to try and force him to stay with her. There is no evidence that he has ever missed child support payments once Sunny was established as his kid and he gave Janine enough dough to bail her out of her IRS problems that she got into BEFORE they married.

That shoots the shit out of your theory about Sandra/Jesse dropping a dime on Janine post-marriage. Had she used the check to pay off Uncle Sam, she'd still have custody and wouldn't have gone to jail but she decided to buy a new car, a recreational vehicle and a down payment on a house she couldn't afford instead.

As far as who the kid would be better off with, the choices include a women that makes around ten million dollars a movie with no jail record and all sorts of accolades or a woman that makes a few thousand a movie, is still living in a halfway house having pled guilty to tax crimes (for taxes she will still owe once released), and is married to a convicted felon that just so happens to be a white supremacist involved in drug manufacture and weapons crimes. Yeah, I can see why you're the poster child for abuse on these forums...
