There are two "Hollywood Video" stores within easy walking distance of me. Blockbuster "media" is about 1.5 miles away.

Haven't rented from a store since maybe 1996 ... could be 1995. Never rented a DVD from a store, only NetFlix [2001-2], which was fine when the disk worked. But, the was a rare occurrence.

To be honest, if I wanted a rental now, I'd just dl the thing. At least the scratched disk skipping all the time would be avoided.
