I would like ALL that, Charin. Certainly MUCH more than I would like giving ANY money to Haiti. But, then again, I'm hardly a conservative.

I would exclude illegal drug users from the homeless we help, but that's my bias/prejudice.

For me, it has nothing to do with being "black". But, everything to are you one of "me".

I didn't care about the tsunami victims either and don't see me running to see how the Chernobyl victims are holding up. None are "me".

But, I did very much care about the Katrina victims. And, a great deal of those I saw and sympathized with were melanin rich. Those were Americans, and I see Americans as my responsibility. They are "me".




Can't say I feel the same about most non-Americans.
