The 3-D thing is just ahead of its time. You know a technology is about to hit rock bottom prices when the latest innovations on it that the industry's trying to push into the mainstream doesn't have any obvious practical advantage. HD TV's gonna go way down. They're outta new ideas for the time being and they'll have to jack the price down to get you to buy a new one. We already saw some of that this Christmas.

Fanatic markets is how they try to get some penetration for expensive new stuff like 3D TV is. I heard something about a sports channel. Porn is another market they'll go after.

Don't expect many attempts soon with video games or movies. Those take a lot of effort to make and the producers will want a well established market base to sell to.

They're working on technologies where you don't need the glasses, but years till they hit the market...
