The fact that some have (or have not) stronger drives than others doesn't mean anything. The point is that some people allow themselves to be ruled by their drives and don't (or can't) look at the long-term effects of their actions on others or themselves. You're making an excuse (on Janet's behalf?) for maintaining a questionable lifesyle.
