H2C: There was a long discussion about this film when I went for coffee today. The consensus at the local bodega is that Avatar is a series of special effects with "Last of the Mohicans" as it's plot line.


I have not seen either "Avatar" or "Pochontas". I only pass along the info as I heard it to get your take.



Even those that were dazzled by the special effects -- in spite of the warmed over plot elements -- had their own list of complaints.

There were several complaints that it was too long, especially since it required wearing 3D glasses. Two of the more litigious persons contemplated a class action suit since both feel that they are still having headaches from the combination of length & poor 3D glasses.
