My photo ID doesn't match me at all. It was issued in early 2006. My face is COMPLETELY obsured in hair [I hadn't shaved or had a hair cut since I became ill ~May 2004]. There isn't much else but hair to see. I cut my hair and shaved early in 2006. Other than a joke about the photo, I've rarely had them even pause to take a second look.  The only time I've been stopped for any search was when I carried a crystal elephant in my carry-on. But, this reminds me ... I have to find my passport. I'm going to Portugal & France in May.

Airport security is a joke in most places. I was stopped, pulled aside and had my carry on hand searched at Memphis airport a year or so ago. Got a lecture from the security guy about the dangers of carrying the 5 hr energy shot I had in there...that went on for so long I almost missed my plane. As in..I was running up to the door yelling for them not to close it.
However..he totally missed or ignored the 400000 volt TASER that was also in my carry on(I had forgotten to switch it to my checked bag).
At Pheonix airport after I handed my ID to the chick at the gate, she asked what I was studying in college. Confused..I said I STUDIED psych, but that I got my degree yrs ago...so why was she asking?
She said "well..that was a college ID you gave me"
Nope. FL drivers license. I'm in my 30's darlin'. But way to actually look at the ID at a security check.

Because white people are not dangerous for other people in the US or anywhere else except for the guilt-ridden liberals who believe they have to kill other white people to help oppressed people of color so again, it's Negroes fault.

did the pic look like you? Was it obviously altered in any way? No? Then i don't give a shit. And although i am not thrilled with CK getting her taser on the plane, I hardly give a shit about that either. The minute a 30-something PW commits an act of terrorism in the name of PWs around the world, call me.
I am far more concerned that a Muslim whose father had tipped off the authorities was allowed on a plane for fear of the charge of 'racism' or 'profiling' being leveled.

i used to get the gears everywhere when i was younger.
now never , i mean anywhere. Airports, border crossings, nightclubs, concerts, hockey games, gyms ; i go through with the least of hassle. A friend was just mentioning it actually. I have no fucking idea why....

Almost all serial killers are middle-aged white males. However, white people are sensible enough not commit suicide during an act of random violence. I can't remember a black person doing so either.

Better check with the NRA when before going out of Florida, Cameron. Using that Taser without a concealed weapon permit will get you in more hot water that your tazed attacker, depending on the state, of course. AK, TX, UT and AZ may send you a thank you card for using it on a perp.

I always check the local laws when I take it out of state. Usually it doesnt require a permit being that a Taser is considered a "non lethal weapon" in most states. Its totally legal to carry it without a permit in Fl..as well as Portland and several other places I've taken it. In fact, since local police dont always know all the laws, I print out a copy of the statute that says it is allowed in whatever area I'm carrying it and keep it in my purse in case I get pulled over. Came in handy in Portland after an altercation in a club me and a friend were working in. I called the cops on them and the a-hole bouncer tried to get ME in trouble (even though HE was the one who assaulted my friend)by telling cops I had it. The cops were happy to tell him he was a dickhead and that I was breaking no law by carrying it. You just have to be over 18, have no felonies on your record and not use it against an officer.
Hats off to you Ms. Keys. Your industry is not known for researching and acting accordingly, but you clearly did and do. Taz away!
For curiosity's sake, from your experience, do you need a core body shot or will any part of the body do? What is the effect of clothes-- jackets limit the effect? How long is a taz'ed down? Should device bondage use your unit or a less powerful one? TIA.

The drama unfolded after an airport official checked out Joan's passport and became suspicious when he noticed it read "Joan Rosenberg AKA Joan Rivers."
Joan claims she tried explaining her late husband's name was Ed Rosenberg -- but the official found the whole thing fishy and gave away her seat on a flight back to Newark. Joan was pissed.
We're told police were called to the scene -- but Joan never got her seat back.
Rivers claims she was forced to put herself up in a hotel overnight to wait for another flight out this morning.
We're told the passport situation was eventually resolved and this morning Joan got on a plane -- but as you could imagine ... she ain't happy about it.
