I think it would be a really interesting project and a photographic study of sexual depravity.

I think the risks are too dangerous. One, you don't know what's going on with their mindset. I mean John Wayne Gacy seemed liked a very reasonable fellow. Two, don't most of these guys wear some type of disguise so their friends at the post office won't recognize them? Then there will be an issue with money. How much for you to let me photograph you without the clown mask? If that passes the smell test then you will have to invite them to the art opening and at that point it's one big crap shoot on how they accept or not accept the photographs in question. If they are incredibly embarrassed and insulted who knows what they will do. If these guys have mother issues and basically go to these shoots because they hate all women then you will be seen as evil incarnate. The repercussions that follow I don't want to guess at. Best to put this idea away.

I think you're being a little paranoid... first of all, these guys sign releases and are shown on the video-- I don't recall ever seeing a bukkakke where the guy is wearing a mask. If he wears it for the video though, he's welcome to wear it for the photos. That could actually make it more interesting, to have a couple of masked guys in there. Obviously they would have to agree to have their picture taken, I'm not going to force it on them. Secondly I don't think that these guys are serial killers who are going to come after me with an axe for publishing their photos. They're mostly lonely and sexually unfulfilled middle-aged guys. Like I said before, I am not going to skew this one way or another-- I will simply shoot what is there. Portraits of them standing on a white backdrop.

I think the biggest problem will be the annoying factor of them contacting me for copies of the pictures for their "portfolios". I've shot the AIM calendar twice now, and there's been a few guys that come through that have participated in the bukkakkes. They might be a little weird or creepy, but I don't really see them as crazed axe-murderers. Christ you make it sound like I'm going to Afghanistan to photograph members of the Taliban.
