They are inquiring why he passed the security check in Amsterdam. Believe me, they would profile a third worlder easily. Somehow they missed someone who's on a watch list. That's a basic check. If you cannot stop someone who's already on a watch list, how good is your security?

Also, to address the first idea, the US is also looking into why Nigeria didn't catch him since they supplied them with body chemical scanners for use in their airports.
