Cranky - angry - same difference.
Please tell me you're not that much of an ignorant spook to assume they are the same thing.
Anger is pissed off, usually long-term. I got accused of being "angry" following my situation at work, based on my reaction. In fact, my "reaction" was an emotional response based on routine, on-the-job harassment from my immediate supervisor following an injury I had 4 months prior. At least two doctors already diagnosed the incident as a panic attack because of the stress which led to my reaction.
Does that sound "angry" to you, Dr. Freud?
Cranky is short term, got out of the wrong side of the bed...more of a day by day thing, if you ask me.
Cranky is most definitely NOT "angry", and different than one would say "worked up" = "disgusted" over something.
