its as many things for them.....they see it and have to have it....cars, pets or any kind of properity.....they dont see the cost down the road....I bought this cell phone....you mean they charge me again and again this monthly rate.....what bandits.
they look at with paris hilton eyes and on a ghetto budget....not cause they didnt make $$$ in porn....but they didnt invest with the funds wisely....
they think they will get a contract and be "new york yankees" salary caliber girl.....when they find out that they were merely a flash in the pan or say the flavor of the week...the moneys spent and they dont have any $$$ to pay for the other odd costs involved with maintenance issues...like the "vet" or the "oil change"....typical spendthrift style.

If it is hip dysplasia, then probably best bet is to put it down. Surgery is expensive, last I heard someone do it was 5 years ago and it was $850. And most of the time, just when you are done paying it off, you have to get the surgery on the other side. Lots of vets don't tell you that, because they want you coming back.

There will always be a few exceptions to the rule...however most don’t have basic math skills to balance a checkbook and have never heard of financial planning and may actually get it confused with places like the family planning clinic.

In general all the things you may be saying are probably accurate.
However, look at some facts in this particular case before you start talking trash, please. I wrote a blog as well as did others about his problem. No, I didnt have $1000 extra bucks laying aroung on short notice for my dogs surgery. I did come up with about half of it and I was donated about half. The rest of the expenses that will be aftercare and bloodwork I will have money for then. I didnt lose him in a parking lot.
As for those saying I should have the money... Listen, I dont work alot, when I do I have to travel from Oregon to do so, which takes about half of what I earn out of the equation.. I have been in this biz for over 4 years and have always only been part time. Therfore I dont make a lot.
I dont waste my money. I live in an old run down rental house in a semi crappy neighborhood. I drive a VW Jetta. I dont have a suitcase pimp, credit card or a drug habit. I dont own one single designer handbag or pair of designer shoes.
I wasnt even going to ask for help, but a couple very sweet and wonderful friends did it for me, then I decided that my doggie deserved for me to not be proud and I asked for help. I feel blessed that people were willing to donate $20 here and there and a few even more during a sinking economy and at the holidays. I can describe how grateful I am.
So, for those who think I am a wasteful pornwhore, Im sorry but youre wrong.. For those who were concerned and even donated, thank you so very much.
Buddy is laying on my lap right now zonked out after some major surgery today. Hopefully he will be ok overall.. he will have a few lingering issues, but Im praying the worst is over.

Two things come to mind:
1) Pet insurance is really cheap. I know it is too late now, but maybe not for the next time or for some other person reading this to think about.
2) One of the greatest mysteries of life to me are why more women in porn don't own their own websites--even if they are amateurish and unpolished. Even if it only makes a few bucks a month net profit, that seems like it would be worth it for most of them, and I really think any porn whore of ANY reputation would be able to make substantially more than that.

Dogs and cats have shorter lifespans than human beings, and prolonging their lives is usually futile. OTOH back in 1994 I spent a hundred bucks to prolong the life of a terminally ill cat for a week.

In most cases you're probably right ... even more so these days with more girls than ever and less work than ever.
Yes , you can do reasonably well still if you use your head.... but if you live in LA the money doesn't go as far as you may think. Especially after testing, paying an agent, and taxes if it's payroll.

When these assholes tell the women they'll sue them, the women get scared, don't have the money to hire a lawyer, actually believe the lawsuit claim, and just change their name to avoid legal bills. So they now have to start all over again.
Look what happened to Briana Banks. She first was conned to go with ClubJenna because her "good friend" Jenna Jameson convinced her to join the company. By joining ClubJenna, they now owned Briana's domains. Briana and ClubJenna went sour, ClubJenna was sold to Playboy, and she lost her domains. She then started BrianaBanksReloaded and actually owned all her domains this time. Months ago she and Alexis Texas went outside the industry and this LA lawyer was starting new websites for both of them. They shot all new content for their websites and it was about to launch. Something happened and no one has said anything at all. But the deal fell apart and the guy wouldn't even launch Briana's website with all the new content trying to salvage some of the investment back. She had to go outside the industry because everything before then fell apart. And now once again, Briana lost another website.
I still can't confirm this and have tried for a while. But part of the deal with Briana is that she singed over all her domains and even her trademark. Meaning she can never again go as Briana Banks. That's what someone told me but I still can't find out for sure that bit of information. Briana is one of the biggest names in the industry and once again she was conned out of a website, her domains, and maybe her actual stage name now.
If people in the industry actually helped out these women with their websites, it would benefit the industry as a whole. Because if more websites are started, then more people will be hired to help run the website and help out and work in whatever aspect of running the website brings.

Thank you. My parents were told it was some sort of poisoning. They were like what do you mean poisoned. My mother told me that and I thought a neighbor killed their dog. The doctor said it was possibly something she ate. My father said she goes and runs in the woods a lot and had been more so the weeks prior. The doctor said quiet possibly she picked something up in the woods which she ate and it probably lead to her getting sick. She was so happy running with all the other dogs in the woods and then got so sick and my father had to feed her by hand. My father was so upset after they had to put her to sleep.
They now have a new dog and weeks after, she got sick too. I told my mother keep this dog out of the woods! She's better now but it was weird that possibly something the dogs picked up in the woods got them that sick.

Most agents do nothing! I once asked a female porn star why hasn't her agent ever sent out a press release for her. She was like yeah, they really haven't. She called them and emailed them and he wouldn't even return her call or return her email. I then told her to send out her own press releases because many of the performers do it themselves. I gave her the formula for a press release and a list of websites to email that accept press releases.
If anyone reading this wants to send out their own press releases, PLEASE remember to make it seem like that someone else is writing the release. Don't say I.

The website Game is a difficult one. Not only do you need to get it designed, set up for billing and marketed ... but there's so much more. The amount of work i've put into mine and learning curve it took was huge. Was well worth it , though ! However, most girls can't get past shooting all the content needed without an immediate money gratification. Smartest thing i ever did was buy my domain name before I shot anything. Most girls dont and lose it even if they don't sign with Dig Playground or Club Jenna ... some other guy buys it that sees it available. Usually someone they know.
It's a tough go at first .... but would definetlely be alot easier if more tried to help girls get sites started as opposed to so many trying to take advantage of their name.

quality agents/agencys think LONG term...most dont they think the average girl has shelf life as milk and doesnt want a grand ceremony of publicity for a chick that says 4 hrs in the biz. it wouldnt justify the agents efforts and would make them look stupid if every new girl they got after their mass email campaign wouldnt be actually able to book.
the last thing is websites.....they do have value in branding.....but thats if you can stay in the biz for that long.....otherwise your ROI may be marginal at best.

Funny you mention this, but it's a point I tried to make in another unrelated thread. Pornwhores would be better of living in areas other than LA and just flying in 2 weeks out of each month.
Alas, the allure & "to do" of LA attracts them to the point they want to be there (or Phoenix, San Diego, etc.) full-time. Few of them realize the expense. One porn whore I talked to told me of living in a $1700/month 1BR apartment, all because she couldn't stand to live where she was from. I told her that's where a shit-ton of her earnings went, considering such rent on a place would amount to $20k per year, not including utilities or luxuries (cable, phone, internet).
My figuring is that with the right plan, a porn whore can live in areas of this country for less-than-half of that (including utilities), and fly to/from LA roundtrip for $400 round trip, and life would be WAY cheaper. However, they all see the big paycheck - with little regard to how short-term or how far it really goes after 5-10 years.

Are you seriously that naive, you cunt? For starters, most girls never owned their own domain name. That is why when they do start a site, it's usually suffixed/prefixed with "xxx", "xstar" or some variation that indicates they're a porn whore. I'd say that most domain scavengers have the name(s) gobbled up within a month of them gaining any notoriety whatsoever. They never see the value of investing in their brand until it's too late.
The webbies only "take" the girl's name because they are either the one who negotiated the name away from the original scavenger (as they are scavengers themselves). Moxxie. Glad to hear your babe is doing well. What kind of surgery did he need/get? I have a small zoo myself, plus I foster for a rescue. But I was a vet tech for years, so I know what Things cost if something should happen. But if one of my babies needed help...I'd beg, borrow, sell off everything I own, walk the track...whatever it took. My animals never suffer. I took on the responsibility and I will live up to it. Or I will give them to a rescue who CAN/will help them. It would break my heart, but I'd rather lose them then kill them. This is what you have to be willing to do. If you aren't, don't get a pet.

He had a huge tumor under 2 layers of muscle tissue in his neck.. and his teeth were so yucky they were infected and it was causing a major problem in his throat and affecting his breathing.. it was a mess...
He had some complications today, I had to go to Doggie ER.. sad to see others in there too on Christmas... Hes doing ok... lots of healing to go..
I agree with you.. Now, as always in the past Ill do whatever it takes to take care of him.. hes 10.. the last of my 3 wieners.. I didnt just get a dog and not think about it like others indicated.. they are part of the family not a spur of the moment impulse, and Im committed to taking care of him.

If you have an animal, you have to treat it humanely, but realize too that it's irresponsible to keep animals that you alone can't afford.
WOW! You ACTUALLY made me cranky.
I DID jump on the webcam. I DID drive 600 miles in one day to do a shoot for a discout rate to help pay for it.
If you had read my post.. (me being 'the girl with the dog' you just wrote about) youd see I also wrote I dont own one SINGLE designer anything to sell.
I also didnt start asking for donations, a couple wonderful friends did on my behalf who know how much I love my dog, then I chimed in. We all offered free movies, website subscriptions, etc. so it wasnt just hey give me money.
I was touched by the people who wanted to help. I myself help people as often as I can. It feels to to help. Ive never asked for it before, and I was grateful people wanted to do something to help.
I have alone paid for all the medical expenses of 3 dogs (2 now passed) very high costs of 2 goats(they went back to the farm I got them from just last month.. )medical and feed and maintenance , I take care of the nieghboor hood cats out of pocket after they were abandoned.
Listen. My dog needed $1k of surgery and I didnt have it at that moment. I got it for him because I am a responsible pet own. I hope you never feel the fear and sadness of needing to help something you love RIGHT NOW and dont have the funds to do so.

Ok first of all, those photos are fucking horrific-- I can't even look at them.
A few years back my dog Poe had a cruciate tear and I sprung for an operation which cost $3,000-- and that doesn't include the after-care costs. Guess what? It didn't really help much, but he's doing OK now-- he limps a little at times when he's been running around a lot, but he doesn't seem to be in pain.
And BTW, for anyone going to the AEE show, stop by the Adam & Eve booth and look for the Rawhide boxcover-- that's Poe and my horse Spanky on the cover with Kayden and Bree. My dog's a star!!

I actually said cranky. I dont feel bad nor angry from what you said. Apology accepted, regardless.
I was annoyed you tried to tell me what I should do and made presumptions about me and my situation without even knowing what you were talking about is all.
Thank you for the well wishes. He is feeling a lot better now. I hope he pulls through it all and we have several more years together.

Anger is pissed off, usually long-term. I got accused of being "angry" following my situation at work, based on my reaction. In fact, my "reaction" was an emotional response based on routine, on-the-job harassment from my immediate supervisor following an injury I had 4 months prior. At least two doctors already diagnosed the incident as a panic attack because of the stress which led to my reaction.

Cranky is short term, got out of the wrong side of the bed...more of a day by day thing, if you ask me.
Cranky is most definitely NOT "angry", and different than one would say "worked up" = "disgusted" over something.
