Ok first of all, those photos are fucking horrific-- I can't even look at them.

A few years back my dog Poe had a cruciate tear and I sprung for an operation which cost $3,000-- and that doesn't include the after-care costs. Guess what? It didn't really help much, but he's doing OK now-- he limps a little at times when he's been running around a lot, but he doesn't seem to be in pain.

And BTW, for anyone going to the AEE show, stop by the Adam & Eve booth and look for the Rawhide boxcover-- that's Poe and my horse Spanky on the cover with Kayden and Bree. My dog's a star!!
