Many get into the business when they're 18-20 years old. All this sudden new cash and they loose their minds. Buy a new home, new car, things for family/friends/boyfriend/husband, expensive clothes, and so on and so one. They run out of cash in a matter of months without even knowing. Then you hear about the performers who have been in the business for 10-15-20 years and have no health insurance. They get sick one day and have nothing saved to pay their medical bills and have absolutely nothing to show for all their years of work.
