Thanks for the link. It has been said that when Lenin was asked if the New Economic Policy was a short-term policy, Lenin replied, "No, it is serious and for a long time". IMO Stalin's collectivization plan wrecked Russia's ability to feed itself, which ultimately led to the demise of the USSR.
