I hurt my back a few months ago trying to lift a toilet which turned out to have been glued to the floor. (I took off the bolts and so on but the thing would not budge. I really muscled he thing and for the next few weeks I had trouble bending at all. Made knots in my shoe laces and turned my sneakers into slip-ons so I wouldn't have to bend to tie them.) I needed a reciprocating saw to remove the thing.

Anyhow my doctor put me on a med called Baclofen which is a muscle relaxer that is used for multiple sclerosis and various spinal injuries.

It's cheap and it worked well for me. Also, it won't make you feel like a wide eyed cat picture.

I don't have much experience with back injuries so that is all I got.

I do however recommend easing off tylenol (etc) because all those pain killers are awful for your liver and kidneys. Alieve is really rough on my stomach and excessive tylenol will crush your liver. Especially if you drink alcohol regularly.

Anyway, look up baclofen. It's an older med and there is a ton of information on it.

I hope you find something that helps.
