My fucking back is out !!!! I lifted a heavy box about a month ago and tweaked it and now it's fucking killing me !!! Right in the sacroiliac on my right side. I'm real close to not being able to move my right leg. The pain and numbness is shooting down my leg into my foot. This fucking sucks. I just had surgery on my right femur about 3 months ago and I'm still swollen from that. I've been mostly putting heat on it and today major fucked up by putting an ice pack on it. Made it twice as bad. I'm taking tramadol, alleve, and tylenol out the ass. I have some loracets from previous surgeries but the fucking stuff makes me look like those wide eyed cats Electro posted and I can't shit with out dynamite stuck up ass. NOOOOO Panzie I don't need any suggestions from you. No colonics will be administered thank you very much. You guys know any tricks to fixing a fucked up back [this outghta be good]? By the way , the crackerpractor is out ! I can't take a chance on fractures due to my marble bone disease.

I hurt my back a few months ago trying to lift a toilet which turned out to have been glued to the floor. (I took off the bolts and so on but the thing would not budge. I really muscled he thing and for the next few weeks I had trouble bending at all. Made knots in my shoe laces and turned my sneakers into slip-ons so I wouldn't have to bend to tie them.) I needed a reciprocating saw to remove the thing.
Anyhow my doctor put me on a med called Baclofen which is a muscle relaxer that is used for multiple sclerosis and various spinal injuries.
It's cheap and it worked well for me. Also, it won't make you feel like a wide eyed cat picture.
I don't have much experience with back injuries so that is all I got.
I do however recommend easing off tylenol (etc) because all those pain killers are awful for your liver and kidneys. Alieve is really rough on my stomach and excessive tylenol will crush your liver. Especially if you drink alcohol regularly.
Anyway, look up baclofen. It's an older med and there is a ton of information on it.
I hope you find something that helps.

I have suffered from what I believe to be a lumbar disc issue and alleviated the problem with targeted exercises of the core. There is damage in your back somewhere, and the muscles go haywire and lock up, overcompensating to protect the damaged area.
No, physical core/back therapy is not "fun" work. It's not a quick, sexy fix, but the pain won't go away until the muscles are strengthened and "confident" in their abilites. Get a doctor's referral for physical therapy.
In the meantime, stick to ice, ideally in the evening when you're not gonna move around afterwards. DON'T MASSAGE the area until it's well healed. I've made that mistake, brutal.
I can golf again now pain free, despite my tendency to swing too hard, and I hope to be able to do so for 40 more years or so. I'm not a yoga guy, but it's great for the core and I might have to resort to it eventually.
Good luck

Listen to him BDM.. I know you're old and geographically retarded but if you can find a hillbilly witch doctor or some triple jointed first cousin offspring to help you stretch it out you'll be rockin out without your cock out in no time. Also... remember to ice it.

Buy a waterbed with a good heater. Best thing that ever happened to my back.
I'm a little disappointed. I was expecting a Krokus thread.

Yeah I did that too!
You likely already know this, but if you're a side-sleeper BDM, put a pillow between your legs.

^ Yeah but I hardly ever do that. I have severe restless leg syndrome and toss and turn like a Mexican jumping bean so it doesn't stay there very long. The tempurpedic thing sounds good though.
I was a toss and turner myself. Your body is supported much better and you can stay comfortable in one place a lot longer.

You need to start exercising. you don't have to join the website, but the book is very good and easy to follow. http://www.coreperformance.com/My back was not great for years, even prior to the operations. I use one of these (not often enough!) and it helps immensely.. foam roller Talk to your doc first....
