I already did that last night when it was obvious that this situation was not going to be solved until morning. I found a neighbor that also has a 4X4 and was able to borrow his jack to change my tire and take the other jack out from under my truck. Now it's off to Wal-Mart to get my tire taken care and to buy a couple of jacks (one for me and one for the guy whose jack failed to appease the automotive gods). I still don't know what I'm going to do about the sand trap in my kitchen though. My kitchen is too small to use to practice my bunker play in. Can't make a backswing without taking out the lights, refrigerator, or microwave.

To clean up rock salt type spills I usually bring a tarp/sheet next to the spill and try to push it all on with a broom/whatever.
Then drag the tarp outside. You will end up with some to sweep still.
I spilled a 90kg bag of rock salt last week.

For the $90 or so a year, AAA is an unbelievable bargain. You have to get the Plus package that includes 4 incidents a year, each incident up to a 100 mile tow. I used to use the tows when I was too liquored up to drive home from the bar. Also with the hotel discounts and the 30% off at Lens Crafters it is very easy to make the $$ back.

Yeah it would have and I never would have thought of that in a million years. BTW in that thread I just posted a photo of exactly what it was I ran over that caused the flat. It's not a nail but instead some kind of locking pin thing that is four inches long and rounded on each end. I have no idea how in the hell it could have punched through my tire.

My advice is to have your self castrated so your defective seed can't be passed down to further pollute the gene pool. Nothing better to hold up a truck up than an old hunk of plastic. You probably have a lifted truck where you used hockey pucks for spacers too. It's a shame it didn't fall and chop off your hands, I would have had a real laugh at that, only you wouldn't have been able to type out your story and I never would have known.....paradox.

I once had one of those bolts that you turn to lower a tire from the bottom of the bed of a pick-up, embed itself in a tire. It was a rear tire so I had to have kicked it up with front tire first. I always carry a hydraulic floor jack in any vehicle I drive though, along with a small assortment of tools.

Lou, I'm not entirely certain on this but I believe she is some chick in England. I don't think she has any particular connection to the industry.

Again, Howie, there's a credibility gap. Even though I have no idea how ignorant negros speak - my social standing has presented no such opportunities for said experience - I do know that cowards always mock negro speak.  So, you still look scared to me.
