She does LITERALLY rule being that she her thoughts and opinions greatly influence our society at this point in time, and most likely even after Obama's term. Most likely she'll hold a public office like Ms. Clinton did after Bill's term - so then at that point being that you're just OH SO TECHNICAL she will OFFICIALLY rule.

I personally feel "public servant" and "ruler" are almost interchangeable terms, for example: your mother and/or father "served" you. They took cook care of you (fed and wiped your ass) when you were a baby (hopefully), but they also ruled and dictated what you did, and didn't do to keep you safe.

Just think of Obama as your daddy and Michelle as your mommy - *poof* now you're adopted by a black family and can be an honorary (but not official) black person

She does not literally rule. She does not hold any elected office so she can't rule. According to your definition of literally that means Glen Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh rule.

Now if you mean she has influence on many people I will accept that as a valid statement.

In a literal manner or sense; exactly : the driver took it literally when asked to go straight across the traffic circle.

Tiramisu, literally translated “pick me up.”

Oh and I voted for Obama so there is no need for you to play the race card.
