What a comeback! I'm crushed. Truly devastated!
Seriously, let's call it a day now, allright? I'm not going to change your mind, you're not going to change my mind. We can continue the "back and forth" for days or stop right now. The result is going to be the same either way...
Well, since you didn't understand what "Oxymoron" meant on a previous thread of mine, you don't know what "Satire" means on a current thread of Sasha Knox's, and you don't know the definition of "Hypocrite" here, I think it is about time you get off your parent's computer and go to bed, tomorrow being a school day and all.
If you stay up past your bedtime I'll be forced to call CPS and then find out where you live and punch your Elementary School English teacher in the throat for allowing you to graduate with such a poor grasp of the English language.
I've never been even mildly interested in changing your mind or hearing about your opinions. You inserted yourself into a conversation and had some sort of PMS attack.
Next time you want to engage me, bring an unabridged copy of the OED and a thesaurus and run all your posts by your babysitter first.
I explained why I used the term "oxymoron" although it wasn't an oxymoron in the linguistic definition of the term. Reread that thread.
Please reread the Sasha Knox thread, too. And learn the difference between "using satire" and "writing a satire".
Again, I didn't state exactly why I called you a hypocrite yet. So you cannot possibly know whether I met the requirements of any definition or not.
It's impossible to "insert" (meaning "interrupt") oneself into a conversation on an open forum. Everbody posts whatever they want whenever they want. If you want to have private conversations without people offering unsolicited comments use the PM functions - not an open forum. Or become a moderator or administrator of the forum.
If you don't want to hear / read certain people's opinions on an open forum, just ignore them. Don't read their posts and don't react to them, it's the only thing you can do. Or become a mod / admin.
If you don't want to change people's minds, or know you can't, why even discuss with them? I know why: Just to hear yourself talk. Or to get "big ups" from like-minded people. Well, I like to hear myself talk sometimes and I like people who like what I have to say. So do you! It's human nature.
In conclusion: You think my grasp of the English language is poor, I think your grasp on reality is poor (as in "having a delusional self-image" and "projecting"). We both know we won't change each other's minds and like to hear ourselves talk. We both think we're pretty swell (respectively). Isn't that dandy?
FYI, I'm not a native English speaker (and already pretty enebriated, BTW), so I can always offer "explanations" (read: more or less convincing excuses) for my "poor grasp". What's your excuse?
I wonder if I'll even recall posting in this useless thread tomorrow?
And now it's time to tell you that I don't care that you don't care that I don't care that you don't care... etc. pp.
Next stage: Insults and namecalling...
