Browsing their website after seeing it linked from LA Direct, I couldn't help but notice the comical fundraising tally at the bottom of the page. Here is a screenshot for posterity :
Someone should have donated a name that would have resulted in a better acronym when they were dreaming up what they would call their organization.
While I could care less if this is even a worthy cause or legit organization, I couldn't help but notice a few funny aspects of their tally board --
Christian XXX personally donated $500. CXXX : I may bust your balls on here about bad credit / getting raped on your car purchase / girlfriend + champagne bottle / furiously banging trannies / living with a single mom / etc, but I give you credit for being charitable and taking a leadership position in donating to a (seemingly) charitable cause.
(On the other hand, I am sure someone will counter that banging trannies alongside straight talent puts you personally at risk of being the one who causes some kind of outbreak, so this donation is just insurance on your behalf for services to be rendered by AIM. Not to spoil a nice gesture on your behalf, but just thought I would raise this before someone else inevitably does)
I'm not sure whether Alanah Rae donated $20 is meant to demean her donation alongside all of the other huge ones, or whether it was meant to show people "hey, every little bit counts". For me, it is the former. She should have spent that $20 on counselling to help her figure out why she wrecked a perfectly nice pair of C's with those bolt-ons several months back.
Equally strange is the Type 9 Models group donation of $73. Where did the $3 come from??? Change from model's purses after buying smokes?
The whole thing just looks weird. I guess this is why most organizations don't show the amounts from individual donors, but rather show them equally alongside each other as contributors, or show them in decreasing size when showing logos or images (proportional to their donation).
