I am unfamiliar with the American legal system..

Can anyone tell me are Wire-taps released under the freedom of information laws...I know court documents are made public,,but would a wiretap allso be made public..??

And if so ,,would you have to make a request for it or would it be posted publically on the Federal or State websites...California and Florida are the two states i am specifically looking for...

I'm not a lawyer, but I would assume you would have to put in a FOIA request to the proper agency. You would probably get an edited tape and have to pay some type of fee. If there was some plea agreement and the case sealed, then you would be SOL.
Now all the faux-lawyers on here can tell me how wrong I am.
