So I woke up at 2:20AM and was out of the door by 2:50AM. The reason for this was because the Sears at Kings Plaza Mall was due to open at 4:00AM, and the bus was making stops only once per hour, which meant that I had to be at the bus stop by 3:26AM. I also had to walk all the way to Avenue U for the B3 bus. In the night, the bus actually stops on schedule. I arrived at Kings Plaza Mall at 3:46AM and I already saw a line of people waiting at the Flatbush Avenue exit, but the mall was open so I decided to outsmart the crowd and head towards the Sears internal entrance from inside the mall. All the stores inside the mall were closed except for the Chock-Full-O-Nut, Cookie Factory, McDonald's and Burger King. Once I reached the internal entrance of the Sears, I found a sign that said that only the Flatbush Avenue entrance would open at 4:00AM, so I had to get back to that line.
In line I waited for around 7 minutes before the doors were opened. Most of the people(90%) were local(I think) blacks from the Flatbush area, but there were whites and mexicans as well. A white couple before me said to a black guy in a white sweater how happy and eager they were to be here on Black Friday. The black guy told them that he just came from Best Buy and that it was just too crowded there, and this is why he came to Sears. Couple of minutes after I arrived in line, the cop car showed up to monitor the crowd. When the door opened up, everyone went it to the 3rd floor(where they keep all the good stuff: computers, LCD TVs, appliances and tools). I headed for the tools dept because I knew that I had no chance at the electronics dept. The tools dept was pretty much empty, but 10 minutes later the people began flooding in, but I already picked all the items that I wanted and headed to the register. After the tools purchase, I went down to 1st floor so I could buy some $30.00 sneakers. The register in the cosmetics dept was empty, so I went there for the checkout. After the Sears, I went to the restroom and took a leak, did not flushed or washed hands and headed out. On the street I decided to walk 5 minutes to the Home Depot so I could buy the Vet/Dry Vac for $20.00, but Home Depot was to open at 7:00AM, so I went back to Sears and bought another pair of sneakers for $25.00 and headed home.
I also bought 2 Red Baron pizza for $1.99 each, and 8 Lindor truffle boxes for $1.99 each.
