I'll prob regret this but I'll bite...

I'm a voracious reader. I'll read pretty much anything and go through 2-3 books a week. I'm esp. fond of crime novels, true crime and period books. (as in time period...not menstrual for those literary challenged.). My all time fav. book since I was a kid is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. Set in turn of the century Brooklyn.

Thanks. Any favourite crime writers? (I don't know much about crime novels. Tom Clancy is probably not a crime novelist?)

I don't quite get the 'period books' thing. Isn't every story set in a certain period of time? Is there a specific period of time you like more than others?

For novels I like Jeffrey Deaver and James Patterson. For true crime Ann Rule is a fav. Though I like them all.

"Period books" are usually set at a specific time and place in the past. Turn of the century Brooklyn, Victorian London, WW2 Japan, etc...
