TIME FOR A RANT.

Donny Long threatened violence/aggravation. Hell, I kicked off the last Donny ban with my nonsense. Once it happened, I even PMed Tony with an apology.

In part it was me Donny was pissed at. But, he doesn't know my name. He has no access to where I live. So he focuses his anger on people he knows. Which was unfair to Jeff, Tony, et. al.

In this case, people were bothering A FIFTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL and used saving her as an excuse. IMHO, NO adult should be conversing with a child they don't know on the internet for ANY REASON. If someone truly believe a child is being harmed in any way, don't take it upon yourself to save the child. CALL THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES IMMEDIATELY.

In this case, it seems from what I can gather, the child felt harassed, found herself quoted on XPT, and started bringing unwanted attention on the only people who's names and addresses are available to her --- those that run this site.

Personally, I think it was an intelligent act to placate the kid since NO ONE, least of all pornographers, needs to draw the ire of angry parents, over-zealous prosecutors or chest-thumping politicians.

And, since the REASON people found this girl was an obsession with discrediting "Ms. Arnaz", I can't see how this isn't a good time for us to welcome a break in hostilities.

But, I could be wrong. And, Tony on a whim could have said this simply because he was bored.

Free speech comes with accountability. The only people accountable are the people who run this site. Other than the porn business people, the rest of us are anonymous alts of ourselves with fake names and pictures, some more honest about things than others but always some cards kept unturned.


Hell, for all you know I'm not mentally ill, thin, fit, a Mormon, find THE Twins hideous and hate cats, but still working full time for law enforcement ... passing on child info to those who can best deal with when I see it.





So, while it would be heroic for those involved to stand imperiled for the boundless, ubiquitous free speech of the nameless rabble called XPT, I don't see why they should be so compelled. Or, why they need to be absolutely forthright in explaining every motive for every action they choose to take.

And, DaBarry, if Tony wanted to impede speech, he'd lock this thread and not let people vent on the issue. [Like he did the last time with Donny, which was WHY my apology was via PM].
