If it only mostly works, then of course some people are convicted who are actually innocent.

So, your answer consists of: 1.) some people who are innocent are given the death penalty, 2.) yes, you support the death penalty, and 3.) that doesn't mean you support killing innocent people.

You don't see how your logic doesn't follow itself?
