I've been down this road on previous posts before, but...
I disagree with Charin because he is unable to examine his position in any meaningful way and will make any illogical comment to assuage the cognitive dissonance of his "black-and-white" position. He has taken a position first and then rationalizes the reasons after the fact as an afterthought. Like a kid who gets a math problem right by guessing and can't show the work, people who think like he does still get an "F" in my book.
There is nothing immoral or unethical with the death penalty, but I am not a supporter of it.
