Fair point. Middle Eastern Christians have a mixed record in the Middle East. Ironically, Saddam Hussein protected the rights of Iraqi Christians, and one of the his main deputies, "Tariq Aziz", real name Mikhail Yuhanna, is Christian. In Lebanon, Christians are a minority but have a certain share of local, if not national, political power. Christians in Isarel/Palestine generally feel caught between the Israeli hammer and the Hamas anvil.
