So, the Boondock Saints sequel opens this friday in select cities... anyone else excited? I've heard rumors about this sequel for years... but I guess they were just taking their time. Trailer Pretty much the same actors as the first movie. Same guys playing the brothers... Billy Connely is still playing the father... the Boston PD are the same guys. Hopefully it kicks ass.

Not nearly as excited as I am to see Herzog's Bad Lieutenant.
I've always thought The Boondock Saints was just an alright film.
Edit: Having just watched the BDS2 trailer, I can say NO, I am not excited to see that movie.

Come on, the scene where they get in the fight with the bull dyke was worth the rental price. I really liked the first one, but as excited as I am to see it, I have low expectations for the sequel.

I gave the film a resounding "meh." Kill, kill, yeah, yeah - so what? And the guys playing the brothers are worse actors than the average porn chicks, which is an astonishing feat. Plus, seriously - "All Saints' Day"? What is this, an 80s horror franchise? I'll pass. I could be sleeping, or organizing stamps, or stabbing myself repeatedly with a pencil... you know, doing something more entertaining than watching the first BDS.

The only thing funny in that movie was the joke about the blacks and hispanics all having left the country so the only thing the white guy had left to wish for was a Coke.
