Medicare is run by a private company. The government just writes them a check to run it. Medicaid is the one where the government is more involved. And, the health care reform I'd want, the Healthy Americans Act, does eliminate Medicaid. It replaces it with subsidies for the poor so they can just go buy private health insurance.

I'd eventually like to have Medicare replaced like that too, but one step at a time.

Anybody from Florida or Arizona reads this message board? That's all I'm doing to bring it to them.
