The 800lb gorilla in the room that no one wants to notice is this nonsense of the 30 day testing window. The fallacy that Dr. Sharon and AIM puts out that if you are a skank and/ or parolee, and have a test within the last 30 days, you're welcome to the club and you'll be safe. It makes sense in theory, with a closed population, that only makes whoopie with others in the closed population, that you'll be safe. Looks great on paper. Unfortunately, since alcohol, drugs and a predisposition to making poor choices seems to be the coin of the realm in this industry, does anyone truly believe that none of these people fuck outside this "closed" population? My point is that a lot can (and does) happen within this 30 day window. Let's pick out a random subject here. We'll call him C.X. C.X. gets his test done on the first of the month. He leaves the AIM office and within an hour is playing bareback bottom to a tranny hooker, who is infected with STD X. C.X. gets little tears in his poopoo channel, and said infected tranny's goop enters C.X.'s body through the little lesions and begins it's nasty work. C.X., with negative test in hand, goes off to do 2 scenes a week with the flowers of American womanhood. He's safe, the girls are safe, everything's great. Or is it?

The fact is, we're talking about a risky profession here. Throw the untold mooks that rent these pure little things fuckholes into the mix, and the numbers game gets more interesting. Now I realize that all these pw's and craigslist/ backpage/ ter "escorts" use condoms every time with every "hobbyist". Of course they do. Especially when their rates are dropping like bricks. And the baby needs food. And the "boyfriend" needs a brake job on the Harley or nail polish for his pitbull. And momma just needs another sack. Yeah. They don't haggle at all. With few exceptions, we're talking about a labor force with impulse control problems, amongst others.

I agree with whoever said Atlanta isn't exactly the hub of the porn industry. But with CAL- OSHA going over things with a fine tooth comb, I easily see a mass exodus out of Cali into more inviting areas. Seattle, Vancouver BC, Florida, Toronto and yes, even Atlanta. Just because it's not right now, doesn't mean it never will be.
