Is the entire country bilingual? I know they have a law in one province - which suggests they're maybe not quite a bilingual as some Politically Correct wish - but I thought the rest of the country spoke English only?




No the entire country is not bilingual in a social sense, legally it is supposed to be. The only Provence that really speaks French is Quebec, all the others are English speaking including the North Territories. During political debates and Parliament meetings everything is in half French and half English. The speakers switch back and forth, it can be quite irritating. Many people are pushing to have the French language expelled, that's why we have the Bloc Québécois party wanting to make Quebec a separate country.
