I was lucky enough to spend some time in these schools of higher learning and the thing that doesn't seem real about this punk and his girlfriends is that this pic and that flag existed at all. In California, anything even remotely resembling a group like this (with a flag and photo) would have landed every one of these idiots a stay at Pelican Bay for the remainder of their term, or at least a move into segregated housing at another institution. I have known several guys that were AB (or at least had the connections, tats, and juice in the system that would indicate such) and the one absolute rule that they followed was that "the brand doesn't talk about the brand". In other words, just like the Mob won't acknowledge to "civilians" that they even exist, Aryan Brotherhood members won't even admit that such a group exists. So, either these punks were playing dress up in some little Oregon lockup (although he is from Lancaster so I doubt that) or this is from an honor farm or level 1 camp where the CO's weren't paying any attention to these tough guys. Even the Nazi Lowriders (I didn't make up the name, so don't laugh) wouldn't be so stupid as to take a group pic with a flag and fag hammer.

And as much as everyone thinks prison is all about joining up with some gang to keep the blacks from raping you, that is just not the case. I'm a pretty average sized, no tats, no big muscles white guy that can't grow a decent beard and in over 3 years in these places I never had any problems with joining anything or being threatened. People who get raped in the joint bring it on themselves 90% of the time by getting involved with drugs, gambling or running their mouths about shit they shouldn't be involved in. There are so many fags just dying to suck a cock that if that's what someone is looking for you practically have to fight to keep them away. And don't think for a minute the fags in the joint are all a bunch a swishy fem grovelers. These guys are out as gay in a prison, and I would say just as I was told and observed, the only thing these fags liked more than sucking dick was fighting. Seriously, rape in prison is used as a degrading punishment and if you keep out of the mix with the wrong people it just doesn't happen that much.

Whew, now where was I? Oh, yeah. So these jerkoffs with the flag. Anywhere I've been (San Quentin, Susanville, Corcoran) these dress up Aryans would have been told once, very clearly, to put the flag away and shut the fuck up. After that if they so much as walked on the yard together one of the shot callers on the white side of the yard would either have had someone fuck someone up or would have told these queens to roll their shit up and get off the yard. I've seen it done and it's pretty fucking funny. Young wanna be Aryans coming onto a yard thinking it's all about showing strength get told within the first 5 minutes to shut their fucking mouths and do what their told by the whites who are running the white crew on the yard. If they continue to act like Hitler Youth it takes about one day before someone get's their attitude made right. No one who hasn't been there seems to understand that the whole object of gangs or groups in these institutions is to protect a balance of power so that everyone can get through the day without getting stabbed and without the drama and bullshit of a lockdown. Essentially, until there is a reason (imbalance of people in one group vs. another, someone really fucks up and has to be dealt with-and approval is usually sought for and given by the violators own people, etc) everyone just goes about their business trying not to get into any bullshit with anyone else. Within groups that have agreements to work with each other, ie southern cali latinos/whites/mexican nationals, or nothern cali latinos/blacks shit does happen, but that's just the day to day of so many people in a high stress situation and usually they just box and nothing comes of it. The funny, or ironic thing is that the higher the level (more points/time) of the yard, the less day to day fighting and skirmishes take place. But when it does get violent on a lifer or higher level yard, someone either dies or gets very badly hurt. It's just so much more serious on high level yards that these guys are smart enough not to fight over little shit and usually when something small happens they try to work it out so a huge problem doesn't develop. It actually works surprisingly well considering society thinks these guys can't get along. They can, it's just that they take transgressions very seriously and so avoid them if possible.
