CHATSWORTH, Calif - Red Light District/Platinum X Pictures has parted ways with contract performer Brian Pumper after two months of work together. The reasons why, however, vary depending on who is telling the story.

According to Red Light District head of production Vince Vouyer, Pumper was given the axe due to tardiness and a bad attitude. "He's had some problems, and people complaining about him showing up late all the time. His conduct is really bad," he explained. "He takes the fun out of hiring him, so to speak. He doesn't bring energy with him. This is a problem he's had for a long time that I have addressed with him many times. He's always been really good with me, but other directors were complaining. I was disappointed we had to cut it off like that."

Yet all is not necessarily lost, as Voyeur hopes to continue working with Pumper, albeit in a less committed manner. "We still will use him, but not under contract," said Vouyer. "But no one else is hiring him because they don't like the way he acts. That's the bottom line. And that's what I told him, but he seemed to think we just didn't have enough work for him."

As a matter of fact, that is what Pumper claims is the core of the problem: money.

"They chose not to afford me because it was a slow time and they realized, 'Wait a minute, we're paying all this money, but we don't have any work available for him now, so, therefore, what are we gaining?'" Pumper told AVN.com. "But the basis of a contract is that I'm only working for them and no one else. It's natural there will be slow times, but I'm your contract guy. They said things weren't working out and that no one wants to shoot me, but that's bull. I talked to every director, and no one said they had a problem with me. So I felt they bullshitted me and came up with this story to terminate me because it's a slow time and they don't have enough work."

As to the allegations that he was tardy and unreliable, Pumper dismisses them universally … well, sort of.

"I feel I was completely 100 percent reliable, got along with everyone and performed," he said. "When you are late to a shoot, which I only was a few times, it can cost them extra because of location fees. I told them they could take it from my pay, but they said that wasn't the point. In the end, what they want is to have the strongest team, so they made a mistake by letting me go."

Pumper says he is still interested in working things out with Red Light District or securing a contract with another company. Until then, he will go back to freelancing, something he has always found to be a steady source of income.

"I work out everyday to keep my body in shape," Pumper said. "I don't drink or smoke. I'm a health nut. I'm not conceited, but I look good and they put me on their covers. So it totally shocked me that they terminated me, because I was completely reliable."

He's not exactly the most dynamic performer out there. He's not very interesting to watch, though he certainly has the build -=- you never see him really connect with the girls,

From what I have heard he leans both ways, maybe that is why he does not "connect" with the girls.

I have to ask you to take a closer look around. Notice the baggy cloths? The baseball caps, maybe there is no jewlery yet because umm; a kid/teenager cant afford it. Listen to the music they like. Hmmm, I went to a pretty typical public school. All the black kids in Canada dressed pretty typical to what they saw in the media. So did I, one thing I have to say; those who can't do teach. This is true, but most of the Black Americans are portrayed in the o so typical way. Which I don't see as much in British, Canadian or European media. Generalizations aren't great but everyone makes them if you deny it or not. If your straight you make the generalization that a women is the only sex good enough to fuck. When a guy might just be as good in bed. You've just made a generalization.

actually in Africa I have been Ghana, Senegal, Morocco, Togo, and the Ivory Coast, so pretty much stayed on the west. Yes I notice the baggy clothes, hats, etc. I even ocassionily notice the fake bling on some kids. I hear the rap music, etc. As a teacher in a high school that is 87% white, I guess I see it on more white kids than black kids. As well as see the white girls fight over the few black boys. I hear the music from black and white kids.(the stuff I see and hear) As a cheerleading coach with only 3 minority students (all are mixed or adopted) they typically want to dance to the rap and the hip hop and dress like Brittney Spears and Christina. I see the frustrion as some of them try to learn how to "ghetto dance". Hell I remember when they thought grunge and goth was how they should dressed. What I am saying is it is mostly a youth thing. Every generation has it. When I was in school I listened to rap tried to dress like Madonna but as an adult I would like to believe I didn't look as stupid as this generation does.Today it is about "getting their party on" even if they are home on weekends. My generation got it on and moved on. So will they.
As far as those who can't teach..I am not going to respond because that is not the issue at hand as I will try not to take this post too far off.

Chicken you are right about the media as most of us can point to people in the real world who do and don't live up to the images in the media. I can name many people in the real world who are black that the media never put up who don't fit that image.. I can also name many that the media also does put up that do fit that image. Maybe it is the image that stays with us that paints our reality. Which should in no way lead us to label a whole group.

BTW.. Brian looks like an idiot...I will give you that...gold teeth look idiotic but someone explained to me that it is a southern thing...so I guess I wouldn't understand. But then again..is it important for me to understand?

wow...I do the best I can to keep up with the latest "insider"info about the industry and to be aware of what my co-workers are thinking ,feeling and going through.I have done this for a considerable period of time without ever feeling a need to comment on any thread no matter how informative,provocative or silly.but I can only pray that this thread is not indicative of the level of class or intelligence at this site.There is so much ignorance here. The very idea that anyone should comment on unfortunate situation that involves someone's source of income is bad enough but to pass judgement as if you were part of the group involved is just fucked up.I hope you have trouble feeding your families real soon.Should I even comment on the small minds that would judge anyone based on what they wear on the the outside? Brian isn't the first talent to be let go, nor will he be the last. Lexington Steele got let go from RLD not too long ago too.

They'll be back somewhere else as long as they can still get wood and don't flake.
